Lets Get Stampin'

On The Earth - CAS

I've had this set for quite a while and have never used it.  I've seen some beautiful cards made with it and since I was "playin" this afternoon I wanted to give it a try.  The style is very simple.  I used a Rose Red card base and then layered Pink Pirouette (which by the way is coming back in the new Idea Book & Catalog July 1st along with some of the other old favorite In Colors.  I ran the scallop border punch along one end of the first layer.  The next layer is on Whisper White and I ran that thru my Sizzix with the Perfect Polka Dot folder.  I used my markers to color the flower and also the "Thank You" from Short & Sweet and before you know it I was done.  I hope you like what you see.  I've got another almost ready to post but it will have to wait until tomorrow.  Stop back by tomorrow afternoon and take a look - I've used the new Sweet Scoops set from the new Stampin' Up! Bright Vintage Vogue CASE

I just wanted to show you what I was working on after I totally reorganized my "rubber room".  It was something that I just had to do because I had no room to move or stamp or much of anything.  After I finished my granddaughter came over and we played for the rest of the evening.  I saw this on someone's blog a week or so ago and it really jumped out and grabbed me (so to speak).  I just love bright colors.  The base is Taken with Teal and then a layer of Only Orange and then the Whisper White layer.  I used a strip of Creamy Carmel and ran it thru the Scallop Punch on one side.  The small squares are punched with a 1-1/4" square punch in Only Orange, Taken with Teal and Melon Mambo and attached with dimensionals.  I stamped the large and small flower from the new Vintage Vogue clear mount stamp set out of the Stampin' Up Occasions Mini on Whisper White c/s with Taken with Teal, Melon Mambo and Only Orange.  I cut each one out and curled the ends of the petals with my bone folder to make them "pop" even more.  The center of the flowers is done with my 1/4" Circle Punch.  The sentiment is from the Short & Sweet set.
