Thoughts and Prayers

I needed a sympathy card the other day and the SU set I always reach for is Thoughts and Prayers.  It's so pretty and appropriate.  I used my SU markers to color in the flowers and leaves for a bit of variety.  It still needed a little something so I got out my spritzer with the Elegant Eggplant marker and added a little bit to it and that just seemed to fiput the finishing touches on it.  If you like it please leave me a comment and thanks for stopping by tonight.  Have the rest of a great weekend.

Male Sympathy Card

I thought I'd post this sympathy card that I made for a fellow co-worker.  His mother passed away yesterday and we all want to donate so I thought It would be nice to have a home-made card to go along with it.  I started with a kraft base, then a layer of DSP from the Christmas Cocoa paper from the Holiday Mini.  It needed a little something more so I did a layer of Soft Suede and then stamped the tree from Thoughts & Prayers on Very Vanilla.  I distressed the edges and rubbed a bit of Soft Suede around the edges and sponged a bit around the image.  Of course I had to add three brads and then I called it good.  Thanks for stopping by.
