Springy Hello Blossoms

I know I've been MIA for way too long but the past couple of months have been a bit much and I think my get up and go just got up and went.  I wanted to try one of the new stamps I got from the new Summer Mini.  With the dreary wet weather I needed to see some kind of flowers..haha.  This is just a single stamp and can be used when you need something quick and easy.  I'm working on a couple of projects and hope to get back this weekend with a few more pix.  Have a good day and thanks for stopping.

Blossom Bouquet Inlay

Hey to all you peeps out there in blog land.  I know I've been MIA for way too long.  I'm trying really hard to get back to my crazy stampin' self.  I got some fun new toys that will be showcased in the new Summer Mini catty that starts May 1.  As a demonstrator we always get to pre-order items and play for a month before it goes live.  Anyway I used the new Blossom Bouquet punch which is a triple layer punch and had these cute little flowers all over my table.  I glued some of them on and then ran the c/s thru my Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I think it's my fav at least for now.  The rest of the card is pretty easy.  You will notice an extra flower on the right corner - it's actually covering up a smudge - oops.  I hope you like it and will check back soon.  I'll post another one tomorrow with a cute stamp from the new mini.  Bye for now and thanks for looking.

Tropical Flip Flops CASE

I ran across a card that was similar to this one a few weeks back.  I can't remember where so if this is yours please let me know so I can give credit.  This card takes me away to a sandy beach, waves lapping at the shore and a yummy umbrella drink.  Can't you just feel the ocean breeze thru your hair.  The base is Crub Cake ( yummy name for the old kraft).  I layered with Rose Red and Tempting Turquoise.  I  ran a piece of Crumb Cake thru my Sizzix with the Square Lattice folder and fringed the ends.  Of course I added a couple of flowers and a bit of foliage from the Tropical Party clear mount set out of the Summer Mini which will run for another two months.  The sentiment is from the In A Word set out of the Summer Mini too. 

I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend - ours was a busy one with family get-togethers, BBQ's and of course homemade ice cream.  I'm expecting some new toys tomorrow - I'll be back in a couple of days with some new ideas.  Thanks for stopping by.

Just a Thought

 I just thought I'd do a quick post before shuffling off to relax.  This is one of the cute stamps from the Hostess Level 1 set out of the Summer Mini.  This is just a 3x3 base out of the new Marina Mist then a layer of Whisper White with Pacific Point which finally returned for good.  These little stamps make it so easy to whip up a quick note card when you need something fast.  Call me today and lets get a workshop scheduled - things are filling up fast in July - New Catty in 8 days and the Summer Mini still going strong. Talk to you soon.

King of the Grill Fathers Day

I've got two quick posts for today.  I thought I'd better get one of these done before Father's Day actually arrived.  I used Not Quite Navy for the base and then a layer of Tropical Party DSP that I ran  thru my Big Shot with the Square Lattice folder.  The next layer is a new Color starting next month called Cherry Cobler - I'll try to give you some sneak peeks over the next few weeks of new colors and  stamps from the new Idea Book and Catalog coming July 1st.  If you live in the US and don't have a demonstrator to call your own please let me know if you would like one of the new catalogs - this year I'll give you one FREE! for a $50 order between now and June 30th.  Stay tuned I'll have another post up shortly.

Loads of Fun B-Day

My grandson turns 16 later this month and this cute lil pickup reminds me of the truck he and his dad have been restoring for him.  Of course it has to have some shiny tin foil in the background and his motorcycle on the back.  I post the details later I've got to get busy, lots to do today - it's Saturday and it's sunny and supposed to be in the 80's - yeah!  I'll be back later tonight with some more goodies.  Have a fabulous day and I hope you can enjoy the sunshine wherever you are.

Melon Mambo Scallop Square SUO

I just wanted to show you a quick cute little card I whipped up.  I started to clean off my table and uncovered a scallop square of Melon Mambo and it was calling my name so I just had to "play" for a bit.  The flower on the front was made with punches.  I punched a 3/4" circle and then punched with the large oval.  I then punched two 1" circles out of the new core color that Stampin' Up! is coming out with in July called Daffodil Delight.  I put snail on one and then attached 9 little petals around the circle.  Then I put the other 1" circle in the center on the other side and voila I was done.  The base of the card is Confetti White which I cut just a bit smaller than the scallop square.

Daffodil Delight Black Magic

I decided to try another set and different colors and try the Black Magic technique again.  This time I started with some kraft c/s for the base with a layer of pumpkin pie.  Then I got out a sample of one of the new colors being introduced July 1st called Daffodil Delight and cut it to size and then ran it thru the newest embossing folder out of the summer mini called Square Lattice.  I love the look that it gives to your project.  I decided to use the Upsy Daisy set this time and get out the colored pencils and use the yellow and a couple of shades of orange.  Take a look and see what you think.  Give me some ideas on other sets that would look really good with this technique.

Sweet Motorcycle Father's Day

  I had some time to "play" today with some of the new toys that I got last week.  I absolutely love the new Square Lattice embossing folder for my Sizzix.  I glued a piece of aluminum foil to a piece of whisper white c/s and ran it thru the Sizzix.  I like the idea of single stamps that Stampin' UP! has come out with lately.  This motorcycle stamp will help with some of the masculine cards that I need to have on hand.  I just stamped with Black Stazon and colored with my markers.  It needed something more so I got out my handy dandy spritzer and gave it a bit of pizazz.  I hope you've had a good weekend and thanks for stopping by.  Stop by again soon.
