My grandson turns 16 later this month and this cute lil pickup reminds me of the truck he and his dad have been restoring for him. Of course it has to have some shiny tin foil in the background and his motorcycle on the back. I post the details later I've got to get busy, lots to do today - it's Saturday and it's sunny and supposed to be in the 80's - yeah! I'll be back later tonight with some more goodies. Just a really quick post before I'm off to do Saturday errands. I've seen this Black Magic technique a lot but have never tried it. So last night I needed to make a birthday card and I thought I'd try my hand and see how it turned out. Not too bad if I do say so my self. What do all you peep out there think?

You Know I think so far this is my favorite set out of the new SU Summer Mini, along with the new Textured Embossing Folder for my Sizzix. This ice cream cone looks almost good enough to lick. I was looking at Heather Summers blog the other day and saw one that she had done. I changed the colors and sentiment a bit but I didn't want to change too much so I could keep that cute look that she had done. Thanks Heather. As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I get to pre-order new items out of the catty's before they go live to the public. I just received my first order so of course I had to try some of them. This is from a set called Sweet Celebration. You can make all sorts of ice cream cones and sundaes. I started with a Melon Mambo card base and then layered with Green Galore which will be missed when the new catalog comes out in July. I ran both edges thru the Scallop Border Punch. Another layer of Tempting Turquoise and then Whisper White. I stamped the cones with Creamy Carmel another color being retired. I think I got them pretty straight without using my Stampamajig - I love those new clear mount stamps. I stamped the ice cream in three different colors on a separate piece of Whisper White, then covered them all with Crystal Effects and sprinkled a little Fine Cosmo Glitter on them. Let them dry overnight and cut out and attached with a dimensional. Added a couple of brads to the sentiment and was done. I'll have another post tonight with a card from the other set Tropical Party. Stay tuned....

Evening peeps, I was playing around with some ideas on MDS and I came up with a birthday card for a male and I thought I'd post to see what you guys thought. I'm still trying to get familiar with the software and there is so much to learn and play with I sometimes run out of time. Give me some ideas and next time I'll see what I can come up with. It's cold, rainy, windy and is supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow - not very nice weather for Easter on Sunday. I guess we can hold the easter egg hunt in the house and hide eggs all over the front room..haha. I think my grandkids are a bit too old for that. Well Sunday is almost over and then it's time to bet back to the weekly grind. Tomorrow is my favorite cousin Sheri's birthday and I won't get to see her so I thought I'd post her card here and suggest she check out my blog tomorrow morning. I used my new Sizzix with the Scallop Circles #2 die and my favorite Small Heart punch from the Occasions Mini. It's hard to see in this pix but I used Crystal Effects to make the cherry 'pop'. Hey there to all my little peeps out there in blog land. I know I've been missing in action but I've been kind of busy and well if you want to know the truth I needed a little break. But I just read an article in my Stampin' Success magazine, the monthly demonstrator magazine that Stampin' Up! sends out and I saw the cutest little note card with a handmade paper flower and well I just had to try one. This is just a little 3x3 card for a quick birthday hello. The base is Melon Mambo with a layer of Bermuda Bay and DSP from the SAB 6x6 Welcome Neighbor paper pack. I used the new Pinking Hearts Border punch on the Bermuda Bay layer. This cute little flower is made with SU 1-3/4" - 1-3/8" - and 1" circle punches. I snipped around the outside edge and then layered and secured with a cute little brad. The sentiment is from one of the Hostess Sets in the Occasions Mini. You know if you had a workshop or did a catalog show and turned in $150 in orders you could get this adorable paper and the Picture This set for free plus $15 in free Stampin' Up merchandise. This is the cutest little monkey - it's out of the Fox & Friends set in the new Occasions Mini. I think he's my favorite at least for now. I started this with a Whisper White base and then a layer of textured Bashful Blue. I used my star punches with Brilliant Blue, Only Orange and Green Galore. My little monkey is stamped in Only Orange and then I punched him out with the 1-3/8 Circle and then 1-3/4 circle out of Only Orange. The sentiment which is from Nursery Necessities is stamped in Brilliant Blue. Well I've got to get a move on it I've got an Open House coming up and I'm not really ready. It's time to working on some more samples and get all my paperwork finished. For now I hope the rest of your Sunday afternoon goes well and join me tomorrow night for some more goodies. This is a birthday card for my granddaughter, Brittany who turned 19 yesterday. I started looking for a couple of birthday sets and couldn't find them anywhere so I turned to My Digital Studio and printed out the cupcake in the Party Hearty set and also a curly label, printed them on winter white cardstock and then cut them out. I used Winter White for the base of the card, a layer of Tempting Turquoise with a touch of Pixie Pink on the bottom. Of course I had to use my new Pinking Hearts border punch out of the Occasions Mini and also the sentiment from the Whimsical Words set that I got free for spending $50. You can do that too until March 31st. Call me and schedule a workshop and you will earn even more free stuff.
